Of Pomelos and Lemons

My grandfather’s house in Patna had a large citrus tree which gave these huge lemon-like fruits. It might have been a Pomelo, but I just don’t remember. I do remember being amazed at seeing the largest lemon I had laid eyes on. After almost 35 years, I was reminded of this tree when I was painting a lemon from a photo I found on Pinterest. It’s funny how our memory works, and how a simple picture or smell takes us back decades. Hope this drawing takes you back to a nice memory.
